SingStorm
When they say Singapore has a average temperature of 24 degrees celcius, I expected heavenly weather all year round... little did I expect it to feel like the mid forties everyday with the humidity factor. Due to this heat most people leave their windows open all the time.
We are in Monsoon season right now, and the thing about this period of time is that there are suddenly thunderstorms all the time, within a few seconds, without warning a piece of the sky comes crashing down on earth. The force of the downpour often leaves rooms flooded.
It is most amusing to be in a crowded place in the hall when an unexpected storm comes. Once the deafening sound of the storm fills the room, panic unfolds. People drop everything that they are doing and run at lightening speed in all directions towards their rooms to close their windows or save their laundry. Shouts can be heard everywhere in english and Chinese, "AH!! I forgot to close my windows la!" The rapid footsteps, the flailing arms are truly a Singaporean sight to see.
