Bad Day - Daniel Powter

Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work up a smile and you go for a ride

You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work up a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day

(Oh.. holiday..)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong(yeah...)

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work up a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day

You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day ohhh
You had a bad day ohhh
Had a bad day ohhh yea yea yea yea
Had a bad day ohhhhh oh yea

Like sunlight reflecting of off the moon

Once there was a girl who was really insecure about herself. Her self esteem was so low that she was on the verge of becoming transparent. The one day just before the last whisps of her being faded away, a prince came from across the globe and said to her, "there, there, little princess, with such beauty and sweetness, you mustn't go and leave this world bitter and ugly." After he whispered these magical words, they slowly penetrated her until they curled up and rested upon her heart. At first she was a little hesitant taking her first steps with the added weight. As her steps became more definite and less wobbly, the radiance of these words began to emit from her eyes. Day after day she began to take her form until these same magical words about her reflected in the eyes of those who looked upon her.

la vie en rose

There are so many things to do everyday that I wish I didn't have to waste so much time on sleeping. Surrey is great. I am hanging with Ashley, one of my best friends these days. She's one of those ppl I never feel distanced from, no matter if we haven't talked for a long time. We always manage to pick up right where we left off. It's so nice to have a friend who's a girl to hang with, someone who knows my inside out. I have almost forgotten about how it feels.

There's so many things I want to do while I'm here. I hope that I get a chance to do everything. I hope that I will continue to be a fighter- to be able to overcome all obstacles thrown at me.

leaving on a jet plane (an airbus I hope)

Why is airbus sexier than Boeing? Well, it's the same reason that Puma is sexier than nike or adidas, and why zara's and mexx is better than... well every other store in the mall.

So I'm leaving to Vancouver on July 5th. It'll be sad to leave my parents again, but it'll be great to see all my friends from highschool. I'm really excited about all this - to see the changes in everyone and for them to see the changes in me. I think I've changed a lot now. Haha if only the ppl I know now would look into my past. I used to be this super hyper kid playing ball hockey with the boys while wearing sailor-moon style pig tails. Well, maybe I'm still a super hyper kid now who's learned to fool everyone. I'm started wearing skirts and learned to wear heels. Being finally back in Canada is one step closer to my favourite city - montreal. The perfect blend of europe and north america. I can't wait to see the first snow, to see the sunset on mt royal, for the great underground city malls (zara's, mexx, la senza, le chateau (pour fair du leche vitrine because I'm broke)). I can't wait for the street musicians, artists, festivals, sexy foreign languages! Looking into the more immediate future, I look forward to rediscovering the most beautiful city in the world - vancouver.

THis has been kind of a rant to release my excitement. Vancouver, here I come!
